About us
Dear Friends,
The Buddhist Center – Thubten Norbu Ling (TNL) is an active community of individuals seeking to learn the nature of our own minds. Through study, meditation , prayer, retreat and community service, we try to reach our highest potential. Our goal is to help people discover and increase their satisfaction, joy, and capacity to benefit others.

When Compassion Gets Complicated: Navigating Mahayana Ethics
·OnlineOnlineDates: Mondays, August 31 - October 5
Teacher: Charok Lama
Level: Intermediate (No prior study of Buddhist ethics required.)
Participation is Online onlyThe Bodhisattva path asks practitioners to cultivate boundless compassion while maintaining ethical discipline — but what happens when these seem to conflict? This course with Charok Lama explores how Mahayana Buddhism approaches ethical complexity: situations where values compete, where compassion challenges precepts, or where there's no obviously correct answer.
You'll come away with frameworks for holding uncertainty, tools for applying Buddhist ethics in everyday life, and more comfort practicing within complexity rather than waiting for simpler circumstances.
No prior study of Buddhist ethics required.

Feldenkrais Classes with Serina Carrasco
The Buddhist Center Thubten Norbu Ling, 130 Rabbit Rd, Santa Fe, NM, USHaving pain or discomfort at work? Or in doing the activities you love? Are you wanting to feel more comfortable in your own body and movement? The Feldenkrais Method is an immensely useful tool in getting you there. The Feldenkrais Method cultivates awareness of our bodily habits and teaches us how to move with greater ease and comfort. Every Thursday from 5-6pm, we gather for an Awareness Through Movement (ATM) lesson.
The structure of a lesson helps to improve a certain pattern of movement like bending down, walking, breathing, or reaching up. It is a series of gentle, attention-filled movement, and most lessons are done lying on the floor. The lesson and verbal guidance of the instructor deepens the awareness of your body and the habits you have.
We all have habits, and they are necessary in our lives. Sometimes our habits are helpful to us, and sometimes not so much. But becoming aware of our habits and creating other options enables us to feel better in our bodies and improves our movement.
Come and learn something new about yourself:)For more information about the Feldenkrais Method or Serina, the instructor, please visit serinacarrasco.com or @serina_in_movement on Instagram.
No experience necessary.
Please bring your own mat to lie on. Supplies are limited.
No pre-registration needed.
