What we’re about

Interested in learning Buddhist meditation? We are a group of people incorporating meditation into busy life. The guided meditation class is suitable for beginners, and there is a short talk beforehand. We meet on Thursdays after work at 7:30pm. We usually socialise before and afterwards, so there's the opportunity to get to know each other. The class is run in the London Diamond Way Buddhist Centre, one of 650 lay Buddhist centres founded by Lama Ole Nydahl, under the spiritual guidance of the 17th Karmapa, Trinley Thaye Dorje.

The meditation methods used are from the Karma Kagyu, a lineage of Tibetan Buddhism that goes back 1,000 years. The presentation is fresh and free from cultural baggage.
There is no charge for the guided meditation classes. The Buddhist centre is funded by donations and from optional membership fees from regular members.

The London Diamond Way Buddhist Centre is located in Zone 1, a short walk from the River Thames, at: The Beaufoy, 39 Black Prince Road, Kennington, London SE11 6JJ The nearest Tube stations are Kennington and Vauxhall.
