One Week Silent Retreat in the Mountains
17.-24. April, 2026, Kailash International Retreat Centre, in Wallis with Gen Kelsang Devi (in English) https://www.kailash.org/love/

In this retreat we will focus on cultivating three specific types of love as a path to lasting peace and happiness: affectionate love, cherishing love, and wishing love. These meditations help practitioners distinguish between pure, unconditional love—which brings only happiness—and desirous attachment, which arises from self-interest and leads to suffering. The aim of these meditations is to cultivate a stable and pure love that enriches all our relationships and fosters lasting inner peace.

Although this retreat is guided as a whole, not every session is guided. Some sessions will be self-guided to enable practitioners to deepen their own experience and confidence in meditation.

Although the retreat is in-depth and will include buddhist prayers, beginners are welcome. This retreat is suitable for those new to meditation as well as experienced practitioners. The retreat schedule allows plenty of time for quiet relaxation, enjoying delicious vegetarian meals and walking in the beautiful surroundings.
