What we’re about
This group is for women who would like to see what it takes to be one of the fashion models in future SFSF, Commando Line, and other similar style fashion shows in the Buffalo area. We provide answers, information, demos, and instruction on what it takes to be a fashion model. There are many shows in the area but for lack of opportunity or thinking they don't quality, not the right height, etc.., there is always a shortage of good models... Because these shows are usually held in spring and summer months, we are starting to provide this community service over the winter months now, for those who would like to give it a try... We hope to raise the quality of the shows in this area as an 'off Broadway' type training ground for moving up to the larger and more well known fashion shows in Paris, Milan, London, Miami and New York City.
I know the problems and the need as I'm a retired life long pro photographer and have shot dozens of fashion shows in this area and New York City. I'm also an artist and design clothes as another art form. I've had my designs in many local area shows. My own and those held by others.
We offer instruction and information with no strings and no charge. It's our effort to help the community raise the standards of our local fashion events. There are no further requirements for anyone who attend any of the instructional events we will be holding. We offer them as mixers to meet other models and to learn what it's all about. What it takes to enter into the exciting world of fashion modeling.
