Informal Coffee - 9:00 am in Kenmore

We’re meeting at Red Otter Coffee in Kenmore (https://www.redottercoffee.com/) on Thursday, September 11 at 9am and we can chat all things WordPress ...or not, as we see fit. This is an informal gathering to get to know one another and talk shop.

There were four of us for coffee at Bruegger’s Bagels August 28, including Freed, Becky, Dinash, Sandi, and Charles. Among other things we discussed:

• Choosing vendors and Plugins specific to the page builder you’re using
• Choosing a platform – WordPress, WIX, Square Space
• Whether to use a template or theme and/or repurposing parts of existing sites you’ve already built
• Bont Academy and Pait Pro, which help web designers learn how to price their work
• How many hours do we work each day?
• How (and if) we keep track of our hours
• Creating your own income
• Marketing emails and blog posts
• Consulting
• It takes 4x as long as you think it will to complete a project
• Our morning routines

I schedule these events at different venues around WNY so everyone can join if they want (and don't want to drive half an hour first thing on a Thursday). If there's another neighborhood or coffee house you'd like me to plan for, put it in the chat. I'm always up for finding new local coffee places.
