Build Your Own Window To Space

There is something uniquely rewarding about looking through an eyepiece and knowing that the instrument you are using was crafted by your own hands. This group is for anyone interested in the art of telescope making, whether you are a seasoned hobbyist who has ground your own mirrors or someone just starting to research your first build. Our goal is to bring together local makers to share techniques, troubleshoot design challenges, and discuss the optics and mechanics that turn glass and metal into a window to the night sky.

We meet regularly to talk shop, swap project updates, and support each other through the various stages of construction. You do not need to be an expert to join us; all that is required is a curiosity about how these tools work and a willingness to learn. If you have a project in progress, feel free to bring it along, or simply stop by to chat with others who share an interest in astronomy and DIY engineering. We look forward to meeting you and seeing what you are working on.
