About us
Berlin is a city of layers — architecture, history, everyday life. On these photo walks we explore Berlin’s neighborhoods through observation, photography and urban storytelling.
Together we walk through different Kieze, discover architectural details, traces of history and the visual character of the city. This is not a technical photography workshop. The focus is on seeing the city differently.
What to expect:
• photo walks through Berlin neighborhoods
• architecture and urban observation
• small groups and relaxed pace
• inspiration for photography and visual storytelling
• discovering hidden details of the city
Everyone is welcome — whether you shoot with a camera or a phone.
The walks are organized by denkmallab, a Berlin project exploring the stories of the city through walks, audio guides and urban research.

Building Stories: Layered Infrastructure - Wedding
Silent Green Kulturquartier, Gerichtstraße 35, Berlin, DEIf the event is fully booked, feel free to join us at the meeting point.
This is not a photography workshop or a traditional guided tour.
It is a 2-hour collective walk through Wedding, using observation and photography as a starting point for discussion about urban space, architecture, and the hidden layers of the city.
We begin at Silent Green Kulturquartier — a former crematorium transformed into a cultural space — and move through streets, courtyards, industrial traces, and transitional spaces that reveal how different periods of Berlin still coexist within the urban fabric.
Rather than focusing on technical photography skills, we will slow down and pay attention to atmosphere, material, rhythm, and spatial change. Photography here becomes a tool for observation and conversation.
Bring your camera or smartphone if you want, but no experience is needed.
This walk is designed as an interactive exchange: we will pause, discuss, observe together, and develop different ways of reading the city.Date: 12.07.2026
