What we’re about

Hi, I'm Jeremy, a social worker, family therapist, certified coach, and someone who has dedicated years to exploring mental health and how to help people. I've seen firsthand how powerful the right tools can be. I started this group to create a space where you can learn and practice those skills together.

Welcome to Build On Your Strengths: Workshops for Your Well-Being.

This is a community built around interactive, hands-on workshops where I share the most effective tools I've found for building resilience and fostering well-being. My goal is to help you build your own personal toolkit that you can rely on, day in and day out.

In our workshops, we'll dive into a range of topics, always with a focus on practical application:

  • Foundational Self-Care: I'll guide you through simple, sustainable practices to manage stress and prevent burnout.
  • Healing from Trauma: We'll explore gentle, strength-based approaches to process difficult experiences and move forward with hope.
  • AI for Personal Growth: I'll show you how to use cutting-edge technology as a surprising and powerful tool for journaling, reflection, and self-support.

I believe deeply in creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, healing from the past, or simply curious about new ways to support your mental health, there's a place for you here.

I hope you'll join me. Let's start building on your strengths, together.

Jeremy

P.S. Your donation helps keep these workshops free for all, covering Meetup, Zoom, and other administrative costs, so more people can access emotional support without barriers.

### Trouble Sleeping? Try Adding “Station Stops” to Your Day

Ever end the day wired but exhausted—your body ready for sleep, but your mind still racing? You collapse onto the couch, but your brain keeps replaying the day.

That’s because your nervous system is like a speeding train, still running at full speed.

The Art of Sleep: How Your Daily Self-Care Supports Rest When You Need It Most will explore how real rest starts long before bedtime. You’ll learn how to spot overload early, add small “station stops” throughout your day to help your system reset, and create a simple wind-down routine that actually works.

You'll end the evening with a list of new things to try, and not just abstract ideas.

You’ll learn:

  • Why your body can’t rest if it doesn’t feel safe
  • What daytime habits quietly sabotage your sleep
  • How to spot nervous system overload before it spirals
  • Simple practices to slow your “speeding inner train”
  • How to create conditions for rest, not force it
  • How to design a personalized wind-down routine that helps your body feel safe enough to rest
  • Ways to transform anxious sleep thoughts into supportive self-talk

Led by Jeremy Schneider, LMSW, MFT, trauma-informed coach and therapist, this 90-minute, in-depth workshop will blend insight, strategy, self-care and self-compassion.

This is a practical, research-informed session designed for anyone who wants to feel more rested, calm, and in control of their energy. You’ll leave with actionable tools you can start using that same night.

Bonus for attendees:
Everyone who attends will get 25% off everything in my BYS Strength Studio, my new content store featuring practical guides, bundles, and past workshop recordings on self-care, emotional resilience, and rewriting old patterns.
