What we’re about

Blacks United in Leading Technology International, BUiLT is a global professional association for Black professionals in technology and our allies. We are "Building Tech Equity" by providing value to our community in the form of networking, education, and mentorship opportunities. We provide resources, guidance and challenge members to establish new standards of innovation through collaboration.

BUiLT Boston, the official local chapter of BUiLT National, is a professional platform for People of Color in technology in the Greater Boston area. BUiLT serves to increase the visibility and participation of PoC in tech through community, media, mentorship, and stewardship.

Our events are held in-person and virtually, with a winning mix of top tech presentations, entrepreneurial series, networking events, social justice messaging, collaborations with other aligned groups, career advancement seminars, and Member’s Only, Reserved and Private Events.

We educate people and seek to increase the representation of Black women and men in technology. It’s proven, enterprises that embrace diversity yield the most innovative solutions. We’re talking to the entire tech community including founders, software developers, scientists, digital media specialists, system engineers, webmasters, technicians, QA folks, social media strategists, cyber-security analysts, online marketing experts, UI/UX artists, recruiters, bloggers, operations staff, project managers – and many, many more technology professionals, students and educators.

This group is perfect for individuals interested in IT certifications, industry best practices, study groups, and anything IT related. Although we are a group for Black IT Professionals, we do not discriminate against anyone, instead we want to uplift and encourage all races and ethnicities. Non-technologist supporters are welcome to join our community too!

Join us. Exchange knowledge. Provide your viewpoints. Let’s explore together the many ways technology is changing the world. Let’s stomp the divide, and help ensure technology is inclusive for all.
