About us

This is a free group for people learning Japanese who want to practice speaking Japanese and make friends. We casually talk in a group setting exclusively in Japanese for 2 hours. Members should be able to hold a basic conversation in Japanese and know hirigana.

Many members like to bring a notebook to write down new words they come across during discussions.

Please note, this is not a language exchange—everyone speaks only in Japanese (no English). However, native Japanese speakers are also welcome, and we've often had a few join us!

We can’t wait to connect with others who want to practice their Japanese!

The meetup is a casual 2-hour conversation practice group where we talk freely and practice our Japanese. Most participants are early to late intermediate learners, and everyone helps each other out, making it a great space for immersive learning! 😊

Advanced learners and native Japanese speakers are always welcome to join and help others. We sometimes have a few native speakers who come to help out~

Because we aim to create an immersive Japanese-speaking environment, please refrain from using English.
