Back by popular demand, we spill the tea on what it takes for someone to join the Board of a non-profit organization. And while it doesn't guarantee you'll get a seat, the process itself is surprisingly simple and straightforward.

Beta Collective founder Jason Wong (also the founder of this Burnaby Startups Meetup Group) has over 15 years of Board experience, and has had the great privilege of serving on numerous boards, councils, and committees throughout his career. As both a Gen-X/Millennial and a racialized minority, he would like nothing more than to see even greater equity and diversity on Boards.

The goal for this workshop is to help encourage the introverted, the underrepresented, the youthful, and everyone in-between -- to bring their unique lens and skills to boardrooms across Metro Vancouver and beyond.

This workshop is intended for people with absolutely no board experience, but would like to discover their "why", find an impactful way to boost their career, and make a positive impact on their community.
