About us
Burnout recovery can feel lonely. You don't have to do it alone.
You've slowed down, you're resting more, you're doing what you're "supposed" to do, and yet your energy still isn't coming back. If that sounds familiar, this group is for you.
This is a friendly, welcoming community in Utrecht for people recovering from burnout. It's a place to meet others who truly get it, share what's working (and what isn't), and feel less alone on the way back to yourself.
What we do together
- Meetups: small, relaxed gatherings with time to talk, share experiences and get to know each other
- Discussion circles: each session we explore one theme (energy, sleep, food, stress, boundaries, going back to work) and swap personal experiences and tips
- Gentle movement & breathing: short, easy practices we try together, no experience needed
- Walks & coffee hangouts: low-pressure ways to connect outside the sessions
What to expect Groups are kept small so everyone has space to speak (or just listen, which is fine too). There's no pressure to share, no judgement, and no "fixing" each other, just people supporting people.
Your hosts Nerys has a PhD in Biomedical Science and is a nutritionist who has studied how the body is affected by burnout. Her co-host, Anita is a yoga therapist with a science background who focuses on calming the nervous system. They facilitate the sessions and share practical, science-based insights, but the heart of this group is you and the connections you make here.
Come along, bring a friend, and take the next step in your recovery with others who understand.

Burnout Recovery Meetup: Explore The Missing Link in Burnout Recovery
Maliestraat 3, Maliestraat 3, 3581 SH Utrecht, Netherlands, Utrecht, UT, NLRecovering from burnout, but still feeling depleted? Come and meet others who understand.
So you've taken time off, slowed down, introduced more rest and self-care… but you still feel depleted.
And on top of that, you feel frustrated: What's wrong with me? Why am I not recovering?
If that sounds familiar, you're not alone, and that's exactly why we're bringing people together. This is a small-group morning to meet others on the same path, share what you're going through, and explore together what might be missing when rest alone isn't enough.
What we'll explore Burnout symptoms can look similar to those caused by other factors. Low ferritin (iron stores) is one example. Haematologists recently set new standards for diagnosing iron deficiency (read more here).
And that's only one piece of the bigger picture...The food we eat, and how well we digest and absorb it, is deeply connected to our energy, mood and how we feel. What happens in our body after we eat can either activate the stress cycle or help us feel balanced. We'll talk together about what that means for recovery, and swap experiences of what has (and hasn't) helped.
What we'll do together
- Welcome & introductions over tea and coffee
- Gentle somatic movement & restorative yoga to help calm the nervous system, no experience needed
- Discussion on nutrition, gut health & hormones in relation to burnout and fatigue, with plenty of space for your questions and experiences
- Time to connect: stay and chat, swap tips, and get to know others who truly get it
Who it's for Anyone recovering from burnout, or who feels they might be heading there, whether you're just starting out or have been on this road for a while. The group is kept small so everyone has space to speak, or simply listen.
Your hosts: Anita is a certified yoga therapist and Nerys Williams Giuliani is a certified nutritionist and life coach. They'll guide the session and share practical, science-based insights. The heart of the morning is the group and the connections you make.
