About us
This group is for the less traditional and more social tabletop games such as: P for Pizza, Bang!, Carcassonne, Werewolf, Ticket to Ride, Azul, and Dixit to name a few.
We regularly run 2 or more games at a time during each event so there is choice of what you join in with. Also there is often shorter games meaning we can change games during the night too so there should be plenty of variety for you to join in with.
You are also encouraged to bring games with you if you have some that we can play because variety is always welcome! However you are also completely welcome to just bring yourself and have a nice evening of being social while playing some games ☺️
There is a £1 attendance fee per event, a PayPal link is provided in each event description with further instruction.
This fee is to cover the cost of the event profile on Meetup. If at the end of the calendar year there is a profit earned from the attendance fees this will go towards a new game for the group and is to be chosen by regular attendees of the group.

Our events are hosted at Burton Banter, an inclusive café space for various communities such as gaming, bikers, readers, and more. As well as a community area and a shop, they also host live music events. Totally recommend checking them out and supporting this local family run business if you can.

Event Cancellation Criteria:
If there are three or less signed up to an event by 5:30pm on the day of the event then it shall be cancelled and refunds issued.

UK Games Expo 2026 - Burton Attendees - Friday 29th May
National Exhibition Centre, Pendigo Way, Birmingham, GBThe UK Games Expo is a huge tabletop gaming convention at the NEC in Birmingham, with activities available such as open gaming, tournaments, demo games and shopping. The convention is held across 3 days from Friday the 29th of May to Sunday the 31st of May; this event is for those attending on Friday.

A number of our group's members have attended in the past and we'd love it if folks who are attending could join this event and post their plans / itineraries here or on the group Discord. This will help us coordinate and generally advertise who is going to the convention, and possibly arrange meeting up whilst there.
Tickets cost £20 per day, with a slight discount available for multi-day passes. Event tickets for activities such as tournaments or seminars must be purchased separately (generally costing between £5 - 10 depending on the specific event). Car parking is £14.95 all-day if booked online beforehand (folks should feel free to use the Discord to coordinate car sharing).
