Cinco de Marcho (March 5th) is a made-up, unofficial holiday that's a playful spin-off of Cinco de Mayo, created in the U.S. as a way for light drinkers to start "training their livers" for the heavy drinking expected on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th), often involving green drinks and a mix of Mexican and Irish themes. It's a short, fun drinking holiday, not to be confused with the real Cinco de Mayo, which commemorates Mexico's victory at the Battle of Puebla.
