What we’re about

This is a group for all hikers that want to enjoy the beautiful country around Butte, Montana. We welcome and schedule hikes for all seasons. Our emphasis is on enjoyment and building a safe and trusting community of local hikers.  In the winter we snowshoe and cross country ski. Members receive all Club communications by email.  
Try out this fun group for 30 days for free! After the 30 day trial period a membership fee of $10 is due annually.  Members will receive notices of upcoming events, will be able to see details about meeting times and places, will be able to enter into discussions about events and see and post photos.  Join hikes and travel at your own risk.

A rough guide to our ratings:
• EASY:  Copperway and Greenway Trails in Butte. 
• MODERATE: Maude S Canyon Vista loop, John Gulch and most of the loops in Thompson Park.  Hikes that are about 2 – 3 hours, about 4 to 8 miles and/or have elevation gain of 500 to 1,000 feet. 
• TOUGHER:  Goat Flats.  Hikes about 6 to 8 miles and elevation gain of 1000 ft or more.
DIFFICULT:   East Ridge from Maude S. Trail head to CDT, Haystack Mountain, Hanging Valley.  Hikes over 5 miles with elevation gain of 2000 ft or more.
