Beginning of recce series: Link beween Gunung Panti & Pelepah waterfalls

We will be doing a recce via the ridge linking the summit of Gunung Panti to Pelepah waterfalls which is rarely used as few know about it. To reward our ardent supporters, we have decided to open this trip to members who are interested to be event assistants for future activities. Participants need to be reasonably fit as we need to clear the way using parang knives to slash through the bushes whilst back-tracking numerous times. This could be one of your most exciting adventures.

Cost: S$50

Includes entry permit, guide, 2-way transport (JB) and 1 dinner as well as complementary usage of parangs.

Interested participants who are eligible will be placed on waiting list. Everyday (offer period), payment advices will be sent to wait listed folks who qualified for the remaining slots. If they do not confirm & pay within the period, the offer is withdrawn and the process repeated for each offer period. REMEMBER to check your email! *** It looks like a number of members never check their MeetUp emails. Remember, a valid email link is a condition for SODAC membership (partly to avoid this kind of thrash) ***

Itinerary:

0645 Meet at Bus Bay after Singapore customs
0700 Meet at JB Sentral
0715 Breakfast at nearest joint.
0800 Toilet break at Petronas station in KT.
0830 Start climb G. Panti
1630 End of hike at bridge over Pelepah river near to water fall resort entrance.
1630-1730 Shower at resort. Entrance RM9/pax
1730 Proceed to KT for light refreshment.
1830 Proceed to JB Taman Sri Tebrau Hawker center for dinner
2100 JB custom
2130 Return to Singapore

We will gather at the escalator just beside the bus bay after the Singapore custom and will only wait for 5 mins. If you are late, you will have to make your way to JB Sentral which is facing city square and hopefully find us there. All 3 cars will be waiting there at 7.00am. We will be having breakfast at one of the coffeeshops just behind Mobil Station.

Recommended: Comfortable long-sleeved clothes, Hat/Cap, covered shoes with profile, glove, whistle, first-aid kit, Rain gear, 1.5-2.0 L of water, Light snacks, lunch, headlamp, Insect repellent, leech socks, a set of clean clothing, passport (with at least 6 months validity), visa (for foreigners). Please water proof your mobile and camera in case of heavy rain.
