What we’re about

We love cabaret and salon culture as much as we love art and ideas. Cabaret Rusalka produces 4 informally-formal salons and interdisciplinary performances at the nexus of art and spirituality during the equinoxes and solstices.

The aim is to celebrate art in the everyday and explore through performance how to live life as art rather than only view it in theaters, museums and other sequestered venues.

From a holiday salon and singalong to adapted plays and poems interpolated with music and dance, we wish to recreate the abandon, vigor and vision that Tzaras and Breton brought to the Cabaret Voltaire; we wish to recreate the salon culture of fin-de-siecle Vienna--but in a way that responds to and resonates with today.

A merry band of artists, meditators, designers and performers, we offer a limited amount of free tickets to each performance on Meetup to invite those who might not otherwise be interested in venturing to such an affair to come and see what living life as art is all about (regardless of how one spends his or her days).
