We are at El Jinete Mexican Restaurant for the third Thursday of this month only. Hope you all can come out and check out this restaurant. Carrie likes it a lot and is the main host. It was her idea.

This is a special social event to see if we might be interested in doing a this location for the future. If you can't attend and are interested in this location, please let me know.

Anyone else have a location in mind? Let me know and you, Bob and I can check it out together time permitting. We'll have to talk to management and confirm a lot of points to see if it is possible before setting a Social Event up. Carrie was very helpful for this event. Thank you Carrie.

El Jinete has a large Mexican menu and large drink menu. They also have a service fee of at least 1% I think also for credit cards. Please always ask staff since polices change. Similar to Stevarino's too.

This event has been announced. Please don't forget to cancel if you can't attend by 10:30 am if possible.

It is very important that you go into your settings and make sure that you set them to receive group emails etc. so that you get reminders and especially notifications of cancellations of social events and tournaments.

We meet from 5:30-8:00ish pm. Some come earlier and some stay later. We will be in one of the rooms to the right of the entrance. Just ask the staff or listen for the loud euchre players and you'll find us. There is free parking in the front and the side of the restaurant.

We now have a private tournament group for the Chattanooga Area Euchre Meetup called the Chattanooga Area Euchre Tournament Group.

There is a separate Chattanooga Area Euchre Tournament Group from the Chattanooga Area Euchre Group where we have the social events. (See link below). Only members who have been to multiple social events or who we know personally will be allowed to join this group for safety purposes. Going forward we will only be posting tournaments in this group, as to avoid having to make anyone's home address publicly available on Meetup and to avoid having new members we don't know sign up for tournaments. You won't be accepted if you don't meet the follow instructions. You don't have to sign up for this group unless you want to attend tournaments and follow all requirements too.

Please read everything below including the disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

Thursday nights are great for all level of players from beginners to advanced. New to Euchre and don't know how to play? Then this Thursday event is just for you! We will be happy to teach you. If you'd like to get a jump on things you can go to YouTube or go to https://cardgames.io/euchre/ where you can play and learn the rules.

Chattanooga Area Euchre Meetup Group rules variation:

We play “a card laid is a card played” except in the case of a renege. If a renege occurs, it can be corrected before the next trick is led without penalty. When discovered, the opposing team receives 2 points (4 points if it is a loner hand) immediately and the play comes to an end. We also play “stick the dealer.” We play a card laid is a card played. Meaning once a card leaves your hand and is on the table you may not pick it back up unless you realize that you have reneged

DISCLAIMER: The Chattanooga Area Euchre Meetup Group and its Organizers do not assume responsibility for any alcohol you purchase and/or consume. Please drink responsibly.

We cannot be responsible for anyone catching the COVID virus. We would appreciate that, if you are sick or have been in contact with anyone infected with the virus, you don't attend any event or, if you find out you have come into contact with an infected person within 48 hours of attending one of our events, you contact a chairperson and let her know so she can inform everyone who attended the event. You will remain anonymous of course.

Thanks,

Margaret & Ann
