​Important Note: The online booking system can be a little finicky! Please double-check your selection to ensure you have the correct date (Saturday, April 18th) and the correct time (6:30 p.m.) for the Scotiabank Theatre Chinook location before finalizing your purchase.
​I have already secured my seat in Row G, Seat 23. Row G is a great spot—it’s just above the D-BOX section, offering a perfect view of the screen. Try to grab a seat nearby in Row G if you can!

Join us for a Saturday night movie, followed by drinks and great conversation. We’ll catch the highly anticipated sci‑fi thriller, Project Hail Mary, then head to Joey Chinook afterward to mingle and unwind.

Based on the best-selling novel by Andy Weir, the film stars Ryan Gosling as a scientist who wakes up on a spaceship with no memory of his mission. He must use his scientific wit, and a very unexpected ally, to save humanity.

TICKETS/BILLING:
Since movie times haven't yet been published, we are doing this in three steps to keep everyone organized:

1. Register Your Attendance:
   Please RSVP for this event NOW to confirm your interest.
2. Movie Time & Ticket Alert:
   Once Cineplex releases the official showtimes (likely by Wednesday), we'll message all registered attendees with the confirmed showtime and the SPECIFIC ROW we are aiming to be seated together.
3. Purchase Your Online Ticket:
   You may then immediately purchase your movie ticket, selecting the specific row we just communicated.

THE MEET-UP PLAN:
1. We’ll meet in the main lobby by the ticketing kiosks 30 minutes prior to showtime, then head into the theatre together.
2. Afterward, we'll head over to Joey's for "bevies" and conversation (in time to benefit from their Late Night Happy Hour menu.) :-)

PARKING & TRANSIT:
- Free parking is available at Chinook Centre. The underground parkade near the theatre entrance is the most convenient.
- Chinook C-Train station is a short walk away via the pedestrian overpass

BLACK DOG GALA - FUNdraiser for "Pups With Soul" Rescue

Join us for Pups With Soul's 3rd Annual BLACK DOG GALA Fundraiser event to help them raise much needed funds to continue supporting their mission of rescuing dogs from animal shelters throughout Canada, high-kill shelters in Los Angeles and Mexico, and then helping to find each one of them their new forever home.

Sadly, black dogs (and cats) are often chosen far less often for adoption at shelters than their lighter-coloured comrades, sometimes for "superstitious" reasons. It doesn't help that their dark fur can be challenging to photograph for rescue websites because it absorbs light rather than reflecting it. This then leads to underexposed, "blob-like" images with lost details of their adorable little faces. This fundraiser Gala helps to bring awareness of this and the other ignorant reasons why black dogs get overlooked, as well as to feature their current black dogs waiting for a loving family to take them home from the Pups With Souls rescue facility.

The event will be hosted by J.D. Lewis from CJAY-92 and features D.J. KAV
spinning awesome tunes throughout the evening. The Special Guest is an
incredible Magician & Illusionist who will "razzle & dazzle" us.

Come dressed up in ALL BLACK, and we'll then enjoy a FUN evening of yummy finger food, bevies, entertainment, a Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle Draws, and of course, awesome Gen-X Friends. A bonus is that you'll also have "good feels" knowing that you're helping to support a small local dog rescue organization continue their efforts in helping "man's best friend" find their new best (human) friend. It's a WIN-WIN!
