Calgary Gen-X Singles Social Meetup Group

To know me is to know that my favourite thing after this Meet Up group, is politics! Friends and I were able to convince Mayor Jyoti Gondek to spend the evening with us to discuss her vision Calgary's future.

We know that between the 51st state nonsense, tariff purgatory, affordability puzzles, and the lingering echoes of the federal election, politics can feel… exhausting. It’s a lot!

But we care deeply about our streets, our parks, and our neighbourhoods. In anticipation of a city-wide election in October, we’re inviting fellow neighbours to gather with Jyoti Gondek for an open conversation about:

• Keeping Calgary safe, affordable, and thriving for families, workers, and retirees alike;
• Smart investments in what we love: great parks, transit, and reliable services;
• Practical solutions for housing, affordability, good jobs and community safety; and
• How to grow thoughtfully while preserving the soul of "#1 Most Liveable City in North America" (thanks to The Economist magazine).

This is a chance to ask questions, discuss ideas, and to share what matters most to you. Whether you’re curious, concerned, or just want to stay informed, we’d love to have you join us. Please respect the views of other attendees.

Trivia starts at 7:00 PM so let's aim to arrive around 6:30 PM to deliberate our team name and order refreshments.
