Singles Brown Bag Lunch in the Park

**Event will proceed! Sat forecast will be sunny and hot...dress for the heat and bring water**

Looking for an easy, cost-effective way to get together and enjoy the outdoors? Grab your lunch bag and join me (Brian) for a weekend brown bag lunch at Pumphouse Park! Pumphouse Park, right next to the Pumphouse Theatre, is located just west of downtown beside the Bow River. The park underwent a big renovation and has new trails, grass, picnic tables and benches with a grove of trees. It is a very nice place for an outdoor gathering.

WHAT:
Bring-your-own-lunch-and-drink event. Not necessary to bring something to share with others--completely optional. Plates/utensils/tools won't be provided.

WHERE:
Pumphouse Park
2140 Pumphouse Ave SW
Car access via Bow Trail, either westbound or eastbound (look for the Pumphouse Ave exit sign)
- Ignore the "Connector Closed" sign, this is only for Mon-Fri commuters
- No direct transit access to this location.

Saturday, July 18
12:00pm

RESERVATION:
The City of Calgary does not allow for picnic reservations. First-come, first-served. Brian will arrive before 12pm to secure a table.

DRESS:
This is an outdoor event. Please dress for the weather. Wear sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray and hat if you feel it necessary.

NO WASHROOM ON SITE:
Unfortunately, the City of Calgary did not provide washroom facilities or portapotties for the park. Theatre will be closed and locked. Renfew Chrysler's service department down the road is the closest "public" washroom. Please plan ahead for this.

PARKING:
Parking in the park's lot and the adjacent street is free. Do NOT park in the adjacent service vehicle areas or block the entrances to them--you will get towed. Do NOT park in the marked reserved lots close to the theatre--you will also get towed.

Other considerations:
- Clean up after yourself at the end of the event and dispose of trash in the bins on site.
- Manage your RSVP. As the event date approaches and you find out later you can no longer attend, if you are either on the Attending List or the Wait List, please revisit this Meetup page and change your RSVP to Not Attending.
- "No Shows" (those that sign up but then don't show up) will be recorded. I will be monitoring signups and attendance!
- Please respect other members who are on the Wait List that want to attend
- If you are running late or otherwise need to contact the event organizer, please post a message in the Comments below.
- If you are feeling ill, please do not attempt to participate. Stay home and get better.
- Be respectful to others and observe personal boundaries. This includes the venue staff.
- If there are any concerns with another member's behaviour, let the event organizer know so this can be dealt with immediately.
