Calgary Community Associations: Working towards Sustainability

Details

Calgary’s Community Associations improve neighborhood life in our city every day. Join us to hear how three local Community Associations (CA) are working towards sustainability through their initiatives, approaches, and sustainability planning. Speakers from Killarney-Glengarry CA, Hillhurst Sunnyside CA, and Ramsay CA will provide short overviews of their efforts towards building great and sustainable communities. Come and learn about these important initiatives and participate in a lively discussion about what you and your community can do to further sustainability in our communities.

Please note - because of the Pathways 2 Sustainability Conference http://www.pathways2sustainability.ca/ on May 29th-31st, we are moving this breakfast to May 24th (instead of May 31st) to ensure everyone interested can attend both events!

Agenda:

· 7:30 - 8:00 am Breakfast and networking

· 8:00-8:05 am Welcoming remarks by Stephanie Jackman (REAP) and Carolyn Bowen (Office of Sustainability, The City of Calgary)

· 8:05-8:50 am Presentations

· 8:50-9:00 am Q&A and announcements

Thanks to Café Beano for providing the Coffee and breakfast at this event!

Advance registration is required. Guests are welcome, but please ask them to register through the Meetup page.

This event is offered on a pay-what-you-can basis. Calgary Dollars accepted. All proceeds are directed to REAP's public outreach events and community programming.
