Sustainability for Breakfast: Honouring International Women's Day

Details

This month's Sustainability for Breakfast is in honour of International Women's Day. The 2018 campaign theme is #PressforProgress and we are pledging to celebrate women's achievements through a panel discussion and through content generated before, at and after the event. You are invited to join us to do the same using the #PressforProgress and #BeLocalYYC hashtags.

In this session we will host a panel discussion and hear from these inspirational local women entrepreneurs who have all made significant contributions in supporting other women to start their own ventures:

Evelyne Nyairo, Founder of Ellie Bianca, has started a skin care company that connects women across the world by sourcing clean ingredients directly from women's cooperatives in Africa.

Catherine Bell, Founder of Awakened Project, has partnered with an Alberta artist to design bracelets that celebrate awakening to a world that works for everyone and in which we can all lead fulfilled lives. The sale of her bracelets contribute to helping women start entrepreneurial ventures of their own.

Lara Murphy, Co-Founder of Ryan Murphy Construction, advocates for more women in leadership and business, and supports women entrepreneurs to create beautiful spaces to grow their businesses. She also helps women and their families through her work with Accessible Housing.

Celebrate with a delicious locally sourced breakfast, networking with Calgary's business leaders, and all of the inspiration and learning you can digest!
