Pivoting to deliver keynote concerts with character-driven songs in a deeper, more mature style, he is a solo performer whose moving lyrics will command your attention. Sam Steffen (AB)
It’s starting to dawn on the Canadian folk scene that we drafted a quiet, unassuming diamond in the rough named Sam Steffen when he followed his partner’s academic tracks to relocate from Bethlehem PA to Edmonton. A master of long-form song lyrics, he puts the true back into the troubadouring, recalling the old-school vibe of the 60s Greenwich Village folk era. Echoes of Phil Ochs, Woody, Arlo, Pete, Joan and Bob reverberate as he reminds us how authenticity, honesty, truth and three chords can change the world. If you were in the room and felt the palpable buzz when he debuted at the Club in Fall 2025, you know exactly what I mean.

Kellie Loder (NL)
Approaching household name status in Newfoundland, Kellie Loder started their music career in contemporary Christian music after growing up in a Pentecostal household. Career success was already underway, assisted by JUNO and CFMA attention for their outstanding albums, when things took a dramatic turn in 2022. Kellie auditioned for Canada’s Got Talent, where they knocked out the judges and eventually placed second. In 2023, Loder won two East Coast Music Awards and also released a cover of Sonny’s Dream by Ron Hynes.
