To make sure everyone has a safe and wonderful experience we have a few simple steps to get you started:

✨ Setting Up Your Profile
We love being able to put a face to a name! To stay active in the group, please:

• Use your real name: Ensure your profile shows your first name and at least the initial of your surname.
• Smile for the camera: Please post a clear, recognizable photo of just yourself. It helps our organizers and members find you at busy trailheads or city parks!

🏔️ What’s on the Calendar?
There is truly something for everyone! You can look forward to:

• Water & Land: Rafting, kayaking, and cycling.
• Seasonal Fun: Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter; hiking and camping in the summer.
• Social Connection: Photography walks, potlucks, and cozy restaurant meetups.
• Learning: Online webinars and personal growth sessions.

💳 Membership Details
Come try us out! You’ll enjoy a 14-day trial period to see if the group is a good fit. To help us cover our Meetup website fees, we ask for a small annual contribution of $12.00 (that’s just $1 a month!).

• Pro-tip: Paying via **e-transfer to dawnerath@gmail.com** or in person with cash is the best way to avoid extra credit card fees.

👋 A Quick Note on Etiquette
We’re all about genuine, face-to-face connections! While this isn't a dating group, it is a fantastic place for singles and couples alike to find community. We just ask that you refrain from private messaging members until you've had the chance to meet them in person.

We can’t wait to meet you at our next event! Whether we’re hitting the trails or sharing a meal, you’re going to have a blast.

You will have a 14-day trial period, one time only.
We pay MeetUp fees for our website of roughly $260.90 in February and August of each year. To pay for these fees, an Annual Membership Fee of $12.00 is required, which is only one dollar per month!
If you pay by credit card, unfortunately, MeetUp will charge you $12 USD, and I am unable to change that.

There are options to pay the annual fee.

1. **by e-transfer to dawnerath@gmail.com**
2. by cash at an event before your paid year expires.
3. by credit card at the end of your 14-day trial period.

If you cannot attend an event, please change your RSVP to "Not Going" or message the host to change it for you.

Make sure that you do not collect too many "NO SHOWS" on your profile.
Our purpose is to provide opportunities for singles and couples

1. to attend events that they normally would not do alone,
2. to attend events they have never attended before,
3. who are new to town and are ready to explore,
4. to make new friends.

Each time you RSVP to attend any event, you agree to the following Waiver:

WAIVER
BY SIGNING UP (RSVP) FOR THIS EVENT, you signify that you are aware of all the risks associated with this event and your physical limits and how they relate to this event. You also agree that you take full responsibility without exception for the safety and well-being of yourself and your guest(s) and do not hold the organizer, host(s) or event organizers of the Calgary Nature and Social Adventures Meetup Group responsible for any harm, injury or property damage that might occur as a result of your participation. Participants who agree to carpool do so at their discretion and risk. 
Where events allow for a guest, the guest is not considered an attendee of the group but is the full responsibility of the member who invited them.
