Calgary Social Golfers

Welcome!

This is a group for people who enjoy golf or just want to get out and play regularly. The most important goal of our group is to enjoy ourselves with like minded people and promote the social aspect of golf and getting together. Sometimes we keep score, sometimes we don't, and we always have fun!

Please note that we do not tolerate no shows - that is - cancellation within 48 hours or simply not showing up for a booked tee time. If you cannot make your tee time, cancel online if it is 48 hours out from the event. If not, please contact the host if it is an emergency. There is always a wait list and those in line need proper notice in order to fill a newly vacant spot. Hosts can be held accountable for the green fees for late cancellations. After one no show, you will be sent a warning. If it happens again, you will be asked to leave the group. Please contact me directly with any concerns.

We do not charge extra fees, so the price you pay for events is the regular venue price or a discounted price arranged by the Organizers. Our Organizers and Event Facilitators volunteer their time for the love of golf and getting fun people together.
We play a variety of courses and have planned golf outings for every skill level including:
• Driving Range - Practice, practice, practice and get some helpful tips from the organizer. We plan driving range get-togethers year round.
• Drive Pitch Putt - A clinic night to practice on the range, chipping, sand play and putting with helpful tips from the organizer(s).
• Beginners Delight - 9 hole par 3 for new golfers and those wanting to tune up their iron play .
• 9 Hole Play - perfect for an evening or early morning 9 hole round on regular golf courses.
• Regular 18's - we book groups of foursomes for 18 holes at a variety of courses in and around Calgary. Often these include 2 for 1 green fees and other discounts.

Whether you are new to golf, a long time fan, getting back into the game, a hacker or handicapper, we have golf for everyone. We promote a group environment of tolerance and acceptance regardless of our members background or preferences.

Any member can suggest an event, but please be aware that all activities under the Calgary Social Golfers banner must follow our guidelines, maintain our positive image at venues and promote enjoyment of golf for our members.

We emphasize proper golf etiquette, appropriate golf attire and the ready play format so that all can enjoy a fun day. Often we have lunch or go to a pub after the round to socialize and discuss the great golf shots of the day. Most of all, we want the game of golf to be a fun and positive outing at each of our events.
