Mount Crandell West Route (Waterton)

Details
Since that one anonymous guy won't stop doing the rain dance in Calgary, let's go find some good weather elsewhere!
Important Stuff:
- This hike will be a go if and only if we have a minimum of 4 participants
- We can choose to relax at Crandell lake after or climb up bear's hump (short hike) to take in some views. Since we are making the drive to waterton, might as well make a day out of it. We can make the decision depending on how quickly we finish our hike.

Trail Details
Distance: Approx. 10.1 km (Out and Back)
Elevation gain: Approx. 1,015 meters
Time: Approx. 8 hours (including breaks)
Trail Description: Crandell peak is fun and rewarding, but difficult. At the trail junction of the Cameron highway trail to the lake and the Red Rock trail to the lake, depart from the trail and start heading up to the left.
You will have to bushwhack through burnt trees and rocks. This is a long, steep climb with uneven footing. From the time you leave the trail head near the lake until the top of the ridge is approx 2.4 km. The ridge walk is a similar distance. At the top of the ridge, there are spectacular simultaneous views of Red Rock road, Cameron Lake road, upper Waterton Lake and the prairies as far as you can see.
