Porcupine Ridge

January 24th 2026. Not much snow except for some parts in the upper sections but I did not feel I needed to have snow shoes. There was a considerable amount of ice on the trail in the lower sections so I used Microspikes the whole time. In some parts you have to be very careful going down as it is very steep and icy . But it was very doable and awesome scenery today.
Required Gear: Winter hiking boots, gators, 1/4 inch microspikes, Poles
Recommended Gear: Wind breaker, water and lunch
Weather: -15c morning, -5c afternoon (lite winds) partly cloudy
