Grizzly Peak Trial

Sign up opens on Wednesday at 12:00pm
This is considered a short, steep, challenging hike with incredible views. There are some minor cliff bands. The only scrambling is on the ledges in the cliff bands. There is a narrow, exposed rocky ridge to the true summit. Poles and sturdy hiking boots are recommended for loose scree and steep incline. Parking is on the side of the highway by Ripple Rock Creek along Hwy 40. Meetup location to carpool is Shouldice Park and Ride Lot (see below).

If you sign up, but cannot attend, please remove your name from the list by 10am Friday. If you cancel anytime after 10:00am Friday or don’t show up (without contacting me) you will be marked as a “no show”. This is visible to other organizers.

Meet up time and location:
7:45am @ Shouldice Park and Ride Lot
We will carpool from here.
Drivers: a Kananaskis Pass is required
Trailhead: follow AllTrails directions to trailhead. Parking is along the side of the road.

Weather/cancellations:
Please check Meetup on morning of hike for additional instructions and/or possible cancellation due to weather.

Carpooling:
Suggested gas fee contribution: $15. per person.
