Bow Peak Trail is an adventurous hike along the Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93 north) with a large river crossing and stunning views of surrounding peaks and lakes! It has been on my bucket list for a long time now!
You must bring water shoes or some type of full strap on sandals for the river crossing (50-100 feet wide). And shorts. Poles recommended. Small towel to dry feet.
This is what you can expect:
Forest walk with fallen trees

3 or 4 smaller river crossings
Trial up to Crowfoot Pass
Large boulder field scramble (steep)
Hike up to the summit with amazing views
Descent down a fun scree gully
And back down to the pass, across the river and through the forest to end the adventure!
