We are committed to empowering mature adults to stay engaged and keep connected; enabling all of us to keep active and maintain independence in a warm and supportive environment. Our primary goal is to offer essential services and activities while embracing new and innovative ideas.
We invite all persons 55+ years and others (couples and/or singles), who want to connect, socialize with like-minded individuals, and participate in fun and interesting activities. We work with other quality Meet-up groups, Facebook groups and 55+ activity groups to provide a variety of events throughout Calgary.
## MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS & PROTOCOL
### 1. Membership Is Optional
- Yearly membership is optional
- You may attend events by paying the applicable drop-in fee

### 2. About GFLS's Membership
- GFLS is a non-profit, membership-driven organization
- Annual membership: $35 per person
- Drop-ins are welcome (nominal fees apply)

### 3. Event Costs
- Each participant is responsible for their own cost. This includes (but is not limited to): food, beverages, admission fees, travel, and parking (although parking is free at GFLS)

### 4. Code of Conduct
- There is zero tolerance for abuse or inappropriate behavior
- Any member may be banned at the discretion of the Executive Director, Organizers, or Board of Directors

### 5. Meetup Profile Requirements
- Members must use their real name (first name and last initial)
- A clear, current photo of your face is required
- This is for safety, organizer recognition, and scam prevention

### 6. Health & Safety
- When attending in person events ... If you are ill or coughing ... do not attend
- Masks may be worn for personal comfort and safety
- Please cancel your RSVP

### 7. RSVP & Attendance Policy
- If you RSVP YES but cannot attend, please change your RSVP to NO at least 24 hours in advance
- Organizers must confirm reservations and waitlists
- 3 no-shows or late cancellations may result in removal from future events

### 8. Liability & Participation
- We strive to provide clear event information to help you decide whether to participate
- The Board of Directors and organizers are not responsible for injury, loss, or damage during events
- By signing up, you acknowledge that you participate entirely at your own risk

Ace Casio Prime Rib🥩Dinner
Ace Casino Blackfoot, 4040 Blackfoot Tr SE, Calgary, AB, CAEVENT: I am tired of my own cooking😜so you can join me for a good feed of prime rib 😋ᵞᵁᴹᴹᵞ😋 with all the fixings. An affordable price at Ace Casino. ORRRR if you don’t like prime rib you can order off their very reasonably priced menu. We have good conversations, a few laughs and as a bonus we will go home with full satisfied stomachs. Meal includes a generous portion of prime rib, salad, veggies, mash potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, horse radish, and dessert. You also have a bottomless free pop, and/or coffee. Tipping is optional.

WHERE: Ace Casino Blackfoot4040 Blackfoot Trl SE, Calgary Look for the meetup sign on the table close to the buffet area by KITCHENCOST: $2.00 Meet-up fee for all. Cost for the meal is $16.88 with a loyalty card (you can get one free at customer service when you come in). We each pay for our own meal and drinks.
WHO: Singles 50+ and others. This is a multi-Meetup Facebook event so the number of people signed up on this location may not reflect the true number of people attending.
PARKING/TRANSPORTATION: Free parking adjacent to the building. Check Calgary transit schedule C-Train/LRT
CONDITIONS: No-shows and short-notice (within 24 hrs of event) cancellations are recorded and may limit your admittance to future events.
