EVENT: Join us for some old-time nostalgic fun. Let’s pitch some ℧horse shoes ℧and socialize with a drink or two while we pitch (Plse bring cash for drinks) 🍺 🍹. This club has been around since the 70’s. Event is indoors. Horse shoes provided. 🧲 Basic instruction on game and scoring will be given to all. Some may be lucky in scoring because “they have ℧ hose shoes ℧ up their a- - ₊˚ෆ” 🤭
WHEN: TUESDAY ( 2nd Tuesday of the month ) PLEASE give at least 24 hours notice if you are thinking of cancelling. People not showing for events is very disheartening especially if the group and your team is waiting for you to show up. No-shows and short cancels are recorded and may limit your attendance in future events
DRESS CODE: Dress in your casual/exercise/ walking type clothes and wear closed-in sturdy, track, athletic shoes. BRING light gloves (garden gloves from dollar store are perfect)
COST/PAYMENT: BRING 💵 CASH 💵 ONLY $5.00 for pitching 2 hours. There is a $2 meetup fee for all. You pay for your own food and drinks.
WHERE: Calgary Horseshoe Club 4310 78 Ave SE Calgary T2C 2Z5 Meet inside the front entrance of the building, look for the Meetup sign
PARKING/TRANSPORTATION: Parking in the adjacent lot to the venue. For Calgary transit routes check HERE.
WHO: 50+. This is a multi-Meet up/Facebook event.
CONSIDERATIONS: No outside food or drink.
WAIVER: By signing up (RSVP) for this event, you signify that you are aware that the organizers and hosts of this event are volunteers and hold no special training. You are aware of all the risks associated with this event and are aware of your physical and emotional limits and how they relate to this particular event. You also agree that you take full responsibility without exception for the safety and well-being of yourself and your guest(s) and promise to not hold the host(s) or event organizers of Mix and Mingles Over 50 Singles and Living It Up-YYC groups and any other groups or venues responsible for any harm, injury or property damage that might occur as a result of your voluntary participation. Participants who agree to carpool do so at their own discretion and risk. You acknowledge that it is unsafe and against the law for you to drive while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs.
