YEGRUG and CalgaryR joint meetup and social

Go Alberta!

Our next meetup will be a joint social event with the Edmonton and Calgary R User Groups (YEGRUG and CalgaryR)! Along with the social, we’ll have two talks, both from the organizers of the Edmonton and Calgary groups. Join and meet your local fellow R enthusiasts.

1. Peter Solymos (YEGRUG) will talk about “Hosting Data Apps” ( https://hosting.analythium.io/ ), a website mostly about Shiny app hosting, Peter will share his experiences of Shiny and how the website got started (20 mins).
2. Pablo Adames (CalgaryR) is finalizing his BasicR Syntax Workshop series, and will share how he designed lessons with the learnr package, creating R tutorials in RStudio and using shinyapps.io to deploy them (20 mins).
3. Social! Chat with your fellow RUGers in both Edmonton and Calgary. BYO pizza and beverages.

To participate, all you need to do is sign up, bring a mic & webcam, and use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.
