The Garrison has been around since maybe the forties....
Once upon a time we had an army base here....
And an airforce base too...
And alot of the men lived offbase in pmq s.....
And in the heart of the pmq s was garrisons...
Since then they ve expanded swallowing up the nearby organic kale and potato store...
Now they are a destination pub...
We re there to try the fish...and the halibut...
Plus whatever else appeals...
Excellent pizza too...

Back to the south of the city to try out dixie s fish in their kamp ass brewing batter....
I m sure its just fine....
At least dixons doesnt do what at least 2 other pubs in calgary have done...trade their beer selection to kampus in exchange for $$$ off with kampus being yr only choice....
Kampus is some rich guys hobby where the only way yule drink it is ifn its the only game in town....

Fish is offered at 19.95 for one half piece....
Full pieces of fish....rarely ordered here....
Cost 23.00 to 48.00 depending on how the waitress feels....
