CMG-BA Presents........
A Restorative Justice Breakfast in S.F.
Meet with your CMG brothers and others for breakfast and help support scholarships for young people leaving the justice system to enter society. You will have an opportunity to meet and speak with the students Excell Network supports, and listen to their stories. Through these breakfasts, Excell Network seeks to connect community members to "go under the hood" of what it means to support those less fortunate in society.
A breakfast box containing scrambled eggs in a croissant, seasoned grilled potatoes, and fruit, along with coffee, tea, or juice will be served. A musical ensemble also plays at the beginning and toward the end of the breakfast.
You must purchase a $20.00 ticket prior to attending at https://sfarchdiocese.org/event/31060/
The breakfast is one component of the Excell Program. When someone is incarcerated, he or she is put in a jail cell. So, the name is a play on that, 'ex-cell' or the inmate has left their cell. Excell provides support to help them transition to life on the outside. Very articulate ex-felons who were incarcerated anywhere from 10 to 35 years have spoken about their experiences during and after leaving prison. It's important for any attendee, who could be sitting next to someone who has recently completed his/her sentence, to not ask what their infraction was. Your attendance supports these young people who are in the process of turning their lives around. You will truly be inspired by their personal histories. This is really a great way to show your support!
