Vina Plains Preserve Summer Field Trip

Meet at Chico Park and Ride west lot (Highway 32 and 99 off-ramp) at 8am or at Vina Preserve gate at 8:30 am. Wear sturdy shoes and bring hat, hiking poles, sunscreen, water and lunch, and money for ride sharing. We will travel to Vina Plains north of Chico. We plan to visit Orcuttia, Tuctoria and the Hoover Spurge that are found in the dry vernal pools on the preserve. The surface will be uneven due to cow footprints but otherwise relatively flat.
