With our up and down weather pattern there are still wildflowers to be found. For our upcoming meeting on May 26th bring in samples of flowers that you would like to identify if you have permission to collect them. If you see some flowers on hikes on public or private lands where you should not collect samples, take photos. For identification purposes we need a close-up photo or photos showing all the flower parts as well as photos of the leaves and a whole plant photo to show the growth form. Send your photos to the email below no later than Sunday 5/24.

We will do some review of plant families and use plant keys and other online resources to work at identifying what is brought or sent in. The chapter has hand lenses to view samples but feel free to bring your own favorite guide and hand lens. Microscopes will also be available.

The group meets at 7:00pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month
