Welcome to California Weekends...a truly unique group!
California Weekends brings together those who love their weekends and want to enjoy the many activities and adventures available in the Bay Area. We are a unique blend of people with a passion for enjoying life to the fullest! You will definitely find fun and interesting people to hang out with and to share the joy of unforgettable weekend fun! We are known for our camping trips and now, by merging our Bay Area Weekends family into our fold, we can expand our weekend fun to include other activities, outings and adventures!

• Your favorite musician is coming to town? We will come with you!
• Camping? ... of course! California is among the best places in the world for camping and adventures!
Activities & Outings: The 9-county bay area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Napa, San Mateo, Marin, Solano and Sonoma) has so much to offer... so CW hosts will post a variety of opportunities for you to get together in small, medium and large groups and really, really, enjoy your weekend. We deserve it! We literally can do whatever we want on the weekends -- Cocktail Parties and Mixers; Concerts and Other Music Events; Competitive Events for Groups; Dancing; Day Trips; Dinner Parties; Game Nights; Date Nights; Fairs and Festivals; Camping; Runs (3k and up); Charity Events; Hiking, Biking, Rock Climbing; Golfing and Tennis; Movie Nights; Orienteering; Sporting Events; Wine Tasting ....and so on
For Group Camping: Our trips are typically 3-night camping trips on the weekend to locations throughout California. Most of the trips are for Adults... although some Family Camping Trips are planned (if we have a willing host)-- there is something for everyone! We have small (8 - 20 or people), medium (21 to 50 people), large (51 - 99 people) and mega (100+ persons) trips. Some of our trips are Pet Friendly as well (if we have a willing host). Our goal is to make it to ALL of the top campsites throughout California and Hawaii -- Check out our Bucket List! - Sunset Magazine's Best Campgrounds. We also schedule Pop-Up Camping trips for those of you who are "always" ready to camp at a moments notice. The waiting list for these trips are typically posted less than one month in advance. And, yes we offer Snow Camping (an adventure by definition!) for those of you who bought that pricey 0 degree sleeping bag and are ready to test it out!
Adventures: CW Adventures occur at non-campsite locations. Think... Lake Tahoe Lodge, Hostels, Winter BBQ, Ski Trips, Fun Train trips, etc. You want to go to Vegas...let's do it!
International Travel: Imagine taking CW to Mexico, Belize, Jamaica, Brasil or Dubai (we just threw Dubai in there because it sounds so Fancy!). These trips are 5 - 10 days - and we will get there and travel around by road, rail, air and/or sea! The International Travel will be organized by a professional with whom you will make all of the travel arrangements and your CW hosts will organize daily events for us to Meet Up while there...local dinners, tours and activities (Think Anthony Bourdain...PartsUnknown but featuring CW!)

I further agree to HOLD HARMLESS the CW Meetup Group and leaders from any claims, damages, injuries or losses caused by my own negligence while a participant in the Activity. I understand and intend that this assumption of risk and release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and includes any minors accompanying me on the Activity.
I have read this section in its entirety, and I freely and voluntarily assume all risks of such Injuries and Damages and notwithstanding such risks, I agree to participate in the Activity.

Remember, your participation in this Meetup group is voluntary. You and your guest participate at your own risk. CW Meetup, its organizer, hosts, and fellow members accept no obligation or liability for you (or your guests) in group or event participation. Unless otherwise specified you and your guest are responsible for your own financial obligations incurred while participating with us at events and venues. The organizer reserve the right to terminate members for non-participation or for other behavior the organizers determine to be detrimental to the group or any of its members.

Many of us work very hard to enjoy the weekends, so please respect our “NO WORK, ALL PLAY” policy. We want our members to enjoy our events without the worry of being approached with advertisement, sales, or solicitations of people promoting their business(es). We want to keep the rest and relaxation vibe going all weekend.
NO ADVERTISEMENT OR SOLICITATIONS TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS. DO NOT HAND OUT BUSINESS CARDS, FLYERS, PAMPHLETS, EMAIL BLASTS, ETC. TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS.
If someone asks you specifically for your contact information because of a mutual business interest, you are free to exchange contact info. Limit your discussions to just the exchange of contact information.
VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY WILL HAVE YOU REMOVED FROM THIS CALIFORNIA WEEKENDS MEETUP GROUP.
When signing up for events, you are expected to understand and know this policy.
