About us
Calm Plans is a small group community in Amsterdam. We meet weekly for low-key, structured activities β always 3 to 5 people.
Every event tells you exactly what's happening, where to go, who's coming, and how to find us. Noise level. Which door to use. Whether it's okay to leave early (it always is). No loud venues, no awkward mingling, no surprises.

π± Joining us for the first time? You'll be looked after β just get yourself through the door. Feeling especially anxious? Message the host. We've got you.

The best conversations happen at small tables.
A table of four beats a room of forty. One real conversation beats twenty polite ones.
We believe the desire for connection is not the problem. The format is.
Calm Plans is for people who want to show up β and sometimes need a little help getting through the door. The structure is just the container. The laughter, the tangents, the unexpected conversations β those are yours.
We take care of each other here. That means showing up when you say you will β and also knowing that sometimes life says otherwise. We get it. We just ask that you let us know.
No performance. No pressure to be "on." But also: real people, real plans, real fun.
Hosted in Amsterdam. By someone who needed this too.

π¬ Dutch Cinema Retrospective Β· EYE Film Museum Β· 3β5 people
EYE Filmmuseum, IJ-Promenade 1, Amsterdam, NLWhat weβre doing:
We're visiting EYE for Dick Maas β Compleet & Ongefilterd, a full retrospective celebrating one of the Netherlands' most iconic genre filmmakers. Known for De Lift, Flodder, and Amsterdamned, his films are pure Dutch cinematic history. We'll explore the museum at our own pace β no pressure to stick together. What to expect:
π₯ Small Group: 3-5 people
π Noise level: Low to medium β calm museum spaces, busier around screenings
π Finding us: Meet inside the main entrance, 10 min before we go in.
β±οΈ Arrival window: 14:00-14:10
πΆ Leaving early: Always fine, no explanation needed
ποΈ Cost: β¬13,50 β or free with Museumkaart or Vriendenlotterij (Eduardo has a free +1 ticket β DM to claim it before confirming)β¨ The Vibe:
Curious, relaxed, no forced conversation. Come for the Dutch cinema history, stay for the IJ views.π‘ Fun fact:
Amsterdamned (1988) was filmed entirely on Amsterdamβs canals β the production team had to get permits for nearly every bridge in the city. The speedboat chase scene alone took weeks to shoot. EYE preserving that legacy is exactly why museums like this matter.π± First event?
