We will be:

  1. removing invasive species (periwinkle)
  2. planting native species (trees, shrubs, wildflowers, ferns)
  3. spreading woodchips.

Be a part of the solution as we renovate Victoria Park for the benefit of everyone. We will be following the forestry management plan that was created specifically for this gem of a rare oak forest. Over the next few years we will be removing invasives, encouraging the re-establishment of the native trees and plants, rebalancing the ecosystem, improving the trail system, etc.

AND WE COULD USE YOUR HELP! More hands make lighter work, please come and assist in whatever way you can.
(feel free to drop in any time for a couple of hours, e.g. 9-11 am)

A washroom building is a short, 2-minute walk away.

Use "Highland Public School" in your navigation program,
drive to the dead end, park along the street, and go
into the forest entrance there across from the school.
