Public Speaking Contest: Learn from the best speakers in our area!

Join us for a special evening of public speaking: the Toastmasters Area 41 Contest.

On Thursday, 15 October at 7 pm, Cambridge Confident Communicators will host the Toastmasters Area 41 Contest, bringing together speakers, members and supporters from clubs across Cambridge, Huntingdonshire and Saffron Walden.

If you have ever wondered what Toastmasters is like, this is a great evening to visit!

You will hear a range of speakers, see different approaches to engaging an audience and experience the friendly competition that takes place beyond our regular club meetings. It is also a chance to pick up ideas for your own speaking — whether you want to become more confident presenting at work, improve your storytelling and delivery, or simply see skilled communicators in action.

Area 41 brings together six Toastmasters clubs:

• Cambridge Speakers Club
• Huntingdonshire Speakers
• Cambridge Confident Communicators
• ARM Cambridge Toastmasters
• Saffron Walden Speakers
• Cambridge University Press and Assessment

What can you expect?

• A lively evening of competitive public speaking
• Different speaking styles, techniques and personalities
• The chance to see how speakers structure ideas and connect with an audience
• A supportive and welcoming atmosphere
• The opportunity to meet Toastmasters members from across the Area

You do not need to be an experienced speaker — or even a Toastmasters member — to attend. If you are curious about public speaking, want to improve your own communication skills or simply fancy an interesting evening in Cambridge, you are very welcome.
