- Restore Nature Now!! (RSPB, National Trust, March for Nature)Marble Arch, London
Biodiversity in the UK is in crisis. Since 1970 UK species have declined by about 19% on average, and nearly 1 in 6 species (16.1%) are now threatened with extinction.
If there's been one common theme to all the Nature Group activities I have organised, it's been firstly the joy that there is to be found in nature, and secondly that with time, care and the right protections in place - from Great Crested Grebes to Bitterns - we can get it back.
The time to act is now: with a General Election fast approaching, political organisations on all sides are hyper-aware of the public mood. Let's show them how much we care about nature. Let's show them that bringing it all back has to be a part of every political party's core platform.
The National Trust, RSPB, the Wildlife Trusts, the Woodland Trust and most of the major conservation groups in the UK have organised a march to campaign to Restore Nature Now.
Please: make your voice heard. Please sign up. Please come on the march. This is our best chance to make a difference.
Details are on the website: if Nature Lovers want to head to London together, let's organise it in the Event chat - but whether you go as part of the group, or on your own, let's make our voices heard.
