Cambridge Neurodivergent Social is a friendly, low-pressure group for neurodivergent adults in and around Cambridge who’d like to meet new people without all the usual social guesswork.
Whether you’re autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic, formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed or questioning, you’re very welcome here.
The aim is simple. Relaxed meetups, good conversation, and a space where people can feel comfortable being themselves. Most months we run a relaxed pub social and a board & card game evening, with the occasional walk, cinema trip, coffee meetup or other activity mixed in too.
No forced icebreakers. No networking. No pressure to be the life and soul of the party. Just a kind, accepting group for people who enjoy connecting with others in a way that feels more relaxed, understanding and free from the usual social expectations.

Neurodivergent Pub Social & Film Chat - September
The Alexandra Arms, 22 Gwydir St, Cambridge, GBCome and join us for a relaxed Neurodivergent Pub Social on Weds 23rd September.
We’ll be meeting in The Alex’s Garden Room at The Alexandra Arms. If you’re not sure where to go, the bar staff will be happy to point you in the right direction.
Drop in anytime between 6:30pm and 9pm. There’s no need to arrive at the start or stay for the whole evening.
While the focus isn’t on games this time, I’ll bring a few decks of UNO to leave on the tables. They’re there if anyone fancies a quick game, or just wants an easy way to get the conversation going.
This meetup will also be a crossover with Cambridge Film Forum, with an optional film discussion for anyone who’d like to take part. You can find out more about the Film Forum here.
We’ll be talking about the BAFTA-winning I Swear, which is available to watch on Netflix.
Based on the true story of Scottish activist John Davidson, I Swear follows his experience of growing up with Tourette syndrome, the misunderstanding and stigma he faced, and the people who helped him find his voice. It feels particularly relevant to a neurodivergent group because it opens up plenty to talk about around difference, acceptance, public perceptions of conditions people don’t always understand, and what it means to navigate the world when your behaviour doesn’t fit other people’s expectations.
We’ll set aside one large table for the film discussion, which will last around an hour. After that, everyone can mix back in with the wider pub social for the rest of the evening. So you can come specifically for the film chat, just enjoy the usual social, or do a bit of both.
This is a low-pressure social for neurodivergent adults in and around Cambridge. You’re welcome whether you’re autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic, formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed or questioning.
There’s no agenda and no forced icebreakers. Just grab a drink or something to eat if you fancy it, pull up a chair and join the conversation. Take part as much or as little as you like, and new faces are always very welcome.
