Drawing Great Saint Mary's Church with Cambridge urban sketchers

Join us to draw Great Saint Mary's Church - the University church that is literally the centre of Cambridge for students, all of whom are required to live within three miles of its bells.

We have permission to enter the church and draw for free, but the staff ask you to consider a £3-5 donation to support the church. Feel free to take the tour up the tower for £7.50 for a great view of Cambridge. Please be considerate of other people using the venue as Saturday is a busy day for the church.

We'll meet at 11am outside the church and then disperse inside to draw whatever takes our fancy. At 1pm we'll meet back at the entrance to the church to share our work and take a group photo. After that we'll head to the church's Michaelhouse Cafe for drinks and socialising.

The event is free but does not include food, drink, or art materials. Everyone is welcome whether you've just started to draw or have been a professional artist for many years. We look forward to seeing you there.
