Look closely at one of Gary Dadd's portraits and something shifts: the face you're seeing is made entirely of handwritten words. The words tell one story about the person; the image tells another.

In just ten years, that idea has taken Gary from hobbyist to selling and exhibiting across the UK. And now this September Gary has an international artist spotlight in Yokohama, Japan, with his show 'Generations Handwritten'.

In this talk, he'll share how he built his practice by:

  • carving out a unique artistic niche
  • building and sustaining a consistent creative habit
  • turning that habit into a business selling work at home and abroad.

Along the way, he'll offer ten practical principles to help anyone - whether deep into a creative career or a curious beginner - to think about their own creativity a little differently.
