This group is for those who really enjoy spending time outdoors - in and with nature. We will be camping at some of the best spots in MD,PA and VA. Many state parks that offer camping also have a variety of other activities like hiking, biking, or kayaking, that you can try out or if you prefer, just spending time reading a good book in front of the campfire. No matter if you camp in a tent, an RV,a car or just under the stars, you are welcome to join the group. Even if you have never camped before but would like to try it, this is the group for you! So get your camping gear ready and Let's Go Camping!

LET'S TRY A NEW PARK -FRENCH CREEK SP IN PA - AUG 21ST-23RD
FRENCH CREEK STATE PARK, 843 PARK ROAD, ELVERSON, PA, USFrench Creek State Park is part of the Schuylkill Highlands with 7,730 acres, is the largest block of contiguous forest between Wash DC and New York City. The park offers a variety of activities including hiking, fishing, biking and camping. It is also the home to many animals and plants that are rare to this corner of Pennsylvania. Located adjacent to the park is the Hope Furnace Nat’l Historic site which dates back to the 1830’s and has been restored, worth visiting.
YOU MUST MAKE YOUR OWN RESERVATION!! I AM IN THE B LOOP AT SITE#191[#37]. There are both electric and non-electric sites available in this loop at this time. Since this is the first time we are camping here, I recommend that you book your site as soon as possible since I am not sure how quickly the sites will fill up. I look forward to seeing you there. FALL IS HERE! LET'S GO CAMPING AT WESTMORELAND SP IN VA 9/11 - 9/13/26
Westmoreland State Park, 145 Cliff Road, Montross, VA, USI had SO many requests to return to WESTMORELAND STATE PARK in VA this year so decided to do it!
Westmoreland State Park is located on the Potomac River's northern neck in Montrose, Virginia. It offers fishing, boating/kayaking, camping and 6 miles of hiking trails. Although the swimming facilities are closed, we can enjoy a walk along the sandy beach and admire a sunset on the water, like above.
