POINT LOOKOUT STATE PARK is located on the peninsula created where the Chesapeake Bay and the Potomac River meet in St.Mary’s County, Scotland,MD. It offers boating, swimming, camping and several historical sites to see including the Lighthouse which I believe is now open to the public. At this time, there are only 2 LOOPS open and both are non-electric. Unfortunately, there are no pictures available of the sites but there are a few videos that you can pull up if you google the park. BE SURE TO READ the description of the sites given when you pull them up on the reservation page, most of these sites are in the sun. I do apologize but since this is the last week of September, we may get lucky plus I have canopies that we can put up.
YOU MUST MAKE YOUR OWN RESERVATION!! I am in the HOFFMAN LOOP at site#68 and will be arriving on Thursday, 9/24. Presently there are 12 sites available in this loop. I recommend that you reserve your site now even if you are unsure of your future plans. I hope to see you there!
