Community Cleanup at Barnum Park - Saturday 10/12/24 in Denver

Hello Friends,

With the weather looking great, we are partnering with the Barnum Sustainable Group for a fall cleanup at Barnum Park. Barnum has needed a lot of attention and love this year.

At the September 7th cleanup of Barnum Lake, thirty-three community members, Park Rangers, and DPR Staff hauled out trash which filled two dumpsters. 24+, 70 gallon trash bags that filled the roll off dumpster in the maintenance area.

Date: Saturday 10/12/24
Time: 8AM to 12PM
Location: Barnum Park Lake
Meeting Location: South East side of the Lake, off Grove St.

Check-in JP with Polar Planet or Carole with Canada Geese Protection Colorado and they will set you up with supplies.

Grabbers, Buckets, and a few sets of Gloves will be provided by Denver Parks and Rec. A few sets of waders will also be available, for those who want to venture into the lake to remove trash.

Dress appropriately for the weather, Saturday will be in the lower 80s. Don't forget to bring your water bottle.
