Abstract: Importing is a fundamental, yet not well understood part of Python. Such a lack of understanding can cause many confusing issues to the user. This talk will start from the basic usages of Python import, and gradually dive into the internals and caveats of the import mechanism.

Bio: Libo is a data analyst and Python software engineer at Seeing Machines. Previously, he attended the University of Western Australia, and did his honours year in computer vision and machine learning at ANU. He has more than 3 years of experience with scientific Python (NumPy, Pandas, Dask, etc.).
