Git Blame: AI Edition by Jonah Sullivan

When an AI-generated code snippet turns out to have a past, who gets the blame? This talk takes a practical look at AI-assisted coding, open-source licenses, copyright, and provenance. We'll separate hype from reality, examine the risks that matter, and discuss how developers can confidently use AI tools while keeping their projects audit-friendly and contract-safe.

Jonah Sullivan is an Experienced Geospatial Professional with a strong background in environmental science, geospatial data engineering, and international partnership leadership. Proven track record managing significant technical programs, building data pipelines and open-source Python tooling, and contributing to global geospatial standards initiatives, with particular expertise in data quality and governance, including governance maturity assessments, cross-agency data stewardship, and automation.
